On the whole 5,9 mln transactions to the amount of 105,5 trln KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January of 2024. As compared to January of 2023 number of payments in payment systems increased by 12,8% (by 669,7 thousand transactions), amount of payments by 50,1% (by 35,2 trln KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)
In January of 2024 1,9 mln transactions to the amount of 104,8 trln KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 24,7% (by 375,2 thousand transactions), amount of payments by 50,4% (by 35,1 trln KZT).
On an average 90,3 thousand transactions to the amount of 5,0 trln KZT passed through ISMT per day in January of 2024 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2023 in respect of number by 18,7% (by 14,2 thousand transactions) and in respect of amount by 43,3% (by 1,5 trln KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.
Flows of retail payments during January of 2024 made up 4,0 mln documents to the amount of 682,3 bln KZT. As compared to January of 2023 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 7,9% (by 294,6 thousand documents), value of payments - by 11,9% (by 72,6 bln KZT).
On an average 190,5 thousand documents to the amount of 32,5 bln KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2023 in respect of number of payments by 2,8% (by 5,2 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 6,6% (by 2,0 bln KZT).
