On the whole 35.3 mln transactions to the amount of 441.1 trln KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-June of 2023. As compared to January-June of 2022 number of payments in payment systems increased by 13.2% (by 4.1 mln transactions), amount of payments by 29.8% (by 101.2 trln. KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)
In January-June of 2023 11.8 mln transactions to the amount of 436.0 trln KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 13.3% (by 1 379.3 thousand transactions), amount of payments by 30.1% (by 100.8 trln KZT).
On an average 98.0 thousand transactions to the amount of 3.6 trln KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-June of 2023 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2022 in respect of number by 12.3% (by 10.8 thousand transactions) and in respect of amount by 29.0% (by 816.3 bln KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.
Flows of retail payments during January-June of 2023 made up 23.6 mln documents to the amount of 5.1 trln KZT. As compared to January-June of 2022 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 13.1% (by 2.7 mln documents), value of payments – by 9.6% (by 450.2 bln KZT).
On an average 196.3 thousand documents to the amount of 42.6 bln KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2022 in respect of number of payments by 12.2% (by 21.3 thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 8.7% (by 3.4 bln KZT).
