Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System

On the whole 13,9 mln transactions to the amount of 219.9 trln KZT were conducted through payment systems of Kazakhstan (Interbank System of Money Transfer and Interbank Clearing System) in January-February of 2024. As compared to January-February of 2023 number of payments in payment systems increased by 19.9% (by 2.3 mln transactions), amount of payments by 56.3% (by 79.2 trln KZT).

Interbank System of Money Transfer (ISMT)

In January-February of 2024 4.6 mln transactions to the amount of 218.3 trln KZT were conducted through ISMT. As compared to similar period of last year number of payments increased by 35.2% (by 1.2 mln transactions), amount of payments by 56.7% (by 79.0 trln KZT).

On an average 110.0 thousand transactions to the amount of 5.2 trln KZT passed through ISMT per day in January-February of 2024 which is more than the level of the similar period of 2023 in respect of number by 28,7% (by 24,6 thousand transactions) and in respect of amount by 49,3% (by 1,7 trln KZT).

Interbank Clearing System.

Flows of retail payments during January-February of 2024 made up 9.2 mln documents to the amount of 1.6 trln KZT. As compared to January-February of 2023 volume of documents in clearing system increased by 13.5% (by 1.1 mln documents), value of payments - by 14.4% (by 204.3 bln KZT).

On an average 220.0 thousand documents to the amount of 38.6 bln KZT passed through clearing system per day, which is more than the level of the similar period of 2023 in respect of number of payments by 8.1% (by 16.5% thousand transactions) and more in respect of amount of payments by 9.0% (by 3.2 bln KZT).
