The National Bank of Kazakhstan (hereinafter the NBK) issues into circulation collectible coins WORLD PAINTING from the coin series “Explore Coins – Discover Kazakhstan”.

Information about the start of sales will be additionally posted on the official website of the NBK. WORLD PAINTING collectible coins are issued as part of a collaboration project with the Dpartners Art Agency.

About WORLD PAINTING collectible coins

The design is based on a fragment of the Kazakh international art project World Painting, a drawing of a dove of peace painted by artist Karipbek Kuyukov, who suffered from nuclear weapons tests at the Semipalatinsk test site, as well as an olive branch painted by the painter Dauren Kasteev, a grandson of the prominent Kazakh painter Abylkhan Kasteev.

About the WORLD PAINTING project

A canvas that unites humanity. The international social art project is a mosaic of fragments created by representatives from different countries of the world. The “WORLD PAINTING” set a Guinness World record as the canvas counting the largest number of people having passed the brush to each other while being created.

2 070 people from almost 200 countries left their paint marks on the canvas. The size of the canvas is 4 x 1.27 meters. This size is equal to the parameters of the globe on a reduced scale. A copy of the “WORLD PAINTING” was at the International Space Station.

The art object demonstrates the idea that all the people on the planet regardless of nationality, religion and place of living strive for harmony and peace.

Olzhas Suleimenov, Dimash Kudaibergen, Alexander Vinokurov, Timur Bekmambetov, Nicolas Sarkozy, Roy Jones, Bai Ling and many other famous personalities left their symbols on the canvas.

The coins are made of:

- 925/1000 silver with the use of color printing technology. The weight of the coin is 62.2 grams, 50 mm in diameter, proof quality, the face value is 2000 tenge. Mintage of the coins is 300 pieces.

- nickel silver alloy with the use of color printing technology. The weight of the coin is 15 grams, 33 mm in diameter, brilliant uncirculated quality, the face value is 200 tenge. Mintage of the coins is 5000 pieces.

All types of coins must be accepted at their face value throughout the Republic of Kazakhstan for all types of payments as well as for crediting to bank accounts and for transfer, they must be changed and exchanged in all banks of the country.

WORLD PAINTING silver coins are issued in souvenir packaging with numbered NBK quality certificates in Kazakh, Russian and English languages. Coins made of nickel silver alloy are issued in blister packs.

The coins were produced at the Kazakhstan Mint.
