The National Bank releases UEFA EURO 2024TM collectible coins into circulation
The National Bank of Kazakhstan (hereinafter the NBK) releases into circulation UEFA EURO 2024TM collectible coins from the “Sport” series.
Information about the start date of coin sales will be additionally posted on the official website of the NBK.
About UEFA EURO 2024TM collectible coins
UEFA EURO 2024TM collectible coins are produced in partnership with the German numismatic company MDM Münzhandelsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG Deutsche Münze (MDM), which is the holder of the official UEFA license to issue collectible coins dedicated to the European Football Championship.
The football ball on the coin symbolizes the globe. On the ball, there is an outline of the map of Germany with markings of the cities where the championship games will take place. 24 stars located around the ball represent the number of teams in the final part of the tournament.
The coins are made of 925/1000 silver using new technology of increased relief and gilding. The weight of the coin is 20 grams, diameter – 32 mm, quality of production – proof and anti-proof. The face value of the coin is 100 tenge, the total mintage is 2500 pieces. Mintage of coins for the domestic market of Kazakhstan is 1500 pieces, and for the foreign market (partner of the project – MDM company) – 1000 pieces.

Collectible coins must be accepted at their face value throughout the Republic of Kazakhstan for all types of payments as well as for crediting to bank accounts and for transfer, they must be changed and exchanged in all banks in Kazakhstan. The coins were produced at the Kazakhstan Mint and are issued in souvenir packaging with numbered quality certificates from the National Bank of Kazakhstan in the Kazakh, Russian, and English languages.
