Banknote by face value of  200 tenge of 2006

   

Date of issue: 2006

Size: 126 mm x 64 mm. The predominant colour is orange-green.

Obverse:  The images are vertical.   In the center of the note is the Astan-Baiterek monument. In the middle of the banknote a fragment of music of the Kazakhstan National Anthem is printed in white on blue, brown and green stripes. Over the fragment of music is the white outline of the value numeral. To the left of the monument the Kazakhstan National Emblem is printed in green. The Kazakhstan National Flag is on the top right of the note. On the lower half of the note is an open hand.  The face value, in Kazakh script, is shown vertically in the lower right corner. The name of the issuing bank, in the Kazakh language, is under the Kazakhstan National Anthem.  Beneath the bank’s name is an inscription in Kazakh stating that counterfeiting banknotes is against the law.

Reverse: The images are horizontal. The main image is an outline map of Kazakhstan.  In the foreground is the building of the RK Transport and Communication Ministry and a winged snow leopard on the bridge over the river Ishim in the capital Astana.  In the background is the building of the RK Ministry of Defense and the steppes. The value numeral is shown both on the lower left corner and upper right corner.  The face value, in Russian script, is shown in the middle of the lower half of the note. The name of the issuing bank, in the Kazakh language, and the bank’s logo are in the middle of the upper half of the note. In the top left corner, on the white area, there is an inscription in Russian stating that counterfeiting banknotes is against the law.

Date of issue: 2002

Size: 144 mm х 69 mm

Obverse:  The main image is a portrait of the philosopher, thinker and scientist Al-Farabi (870-950). To the right of a portrait is a complex rosette pattern containing a hidden figure "200" which is revealed when viewed at eye level from different angles.  The figure “200” was previously printed in metallic ink.  On the right top and bottom part of the banknote an ornamental pattern, previously printed in metallic ink, has been changed to microprint text reading "200".

Reverse:  The main image is part of Hodja Ahmed Yassavi's mausoleum.

Date of issue: 2000

Size:144 mm x 69 mm. Predominated colors are brown and red.

Obverse:  The main image is a portrait of the great philosopher, thinker and scientist Al-Farabi (870-950). On the left side is the inscription "National Bank of Kazakhstan". To the left of the portrait is the watermark profile of Al-Farabi and the denomination “200”. Left of the portrait is a windowed demetallised thread with the inscription "Kazakhstan" and figure "200".  To the right of the portrait there are two hidden images printed in metallic ink, which switch between the figure "200"  or a Kazakh ornament when viewed from different angles at eye level.

Reverse: The main image is part of Hodja Ahmed Yassavi's mausoleum. To the right of the mausoleum is the denomination in both figures and text. Top right is a text: "National Bank of Kazakshtan".

Attention:

In accordance with Regulations of Governing Body of the National Bank of Kazakhstan No. 68 "On Replacement of Banknotes of National Currency of the Republic of Kazakhstan banknotes» banknotes of 200 tenge of 1999 ceased to be legal since November 15, 2007. These banknotes are accepted by all branches of the National Bank of Kazakhstan till 14 November 2018 and after confirmation of its authenticity by expertise are exchanged for banknotes and coins in force. 

Banknote by face value of 200 tenge of 1993

       

Date of issue: 1994

Size: 144 mm x 69 mm. Predominant colours red and brown.

Obverse: the main image is the portrait of the great philosopher and thinker of the East, Al-Farabi.  Beneath the portrait name and date of birth and death. To the right of the portrait grave ornament. Face value In the center,  figures and text,  printed with red ink. Signature of the Governor of the National Bank of Kazakhstan and year of issue. To the left of the portrait is a watermark portrait of Al-Farabi, framed by a continuous tracery of Kazakh ornamentation. To the right of the watermark is the state emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan. To the right of the portrait the serial number is printed vertically in red ink.  Top left of the portrait the serial number is printed horizontally in black ink.  The serial number consists of a two-letter prefix and seven figures. The letters and figures are of equal height and spacing.  The prefix denotes the banknote series. 

Reverse: predominant colours are yellow and blue.  The main image is part of Hodja Ahmed Yassavi's mausoleum. On the bottom right, below the watermark, the denomination is printed in two colours.

Attention:

In accordance with Regulations of Governing Body of the National Bank of Kazakhstan No. 300 dated July 20, 2000 "On Replacement of Banknotes of National Currency of the Republic of Kazakhstan banknotes» banknotes of 200 tenge of 1993 are ceased to be legal since September 1, 2001. Data exchange of banknotes is complete on August 30, 2012.
